Primary Focus

The section is where a distributor should focus their efforts. While there other sections may have lucrative bonuses, this is where an endurable organization can be built. If you’re looking for a second place to focus, that would be Business Leadership– there is value in every business in helping other grow.

Unilevel Commission

This is the bonus you think of for Network Marketing and is pretty easy to understand in the grid below.

It is paid on the Distributor’s monthly volume and is available up to 5 levels deep. The Distributor’s rank determines how many levels are available.

Each level’s bonus percentage remains the same and does not change with the Distributor’s rank (ie Level 1 is always 8%, Level 3 is always 4%). The percentage does decrease the further you go down the levels.

Distributors can earn on 2 levels with the rank of Member and have access to all 5 levels upon reaching the rank of Executive.

Generation Commission

This is really a continuation of the Unilevel Commission except generations break off when they are a Silver (generation tutorials coming soon). Once someone in your down line becomes a Silver, they move into the Generation Commission structure.

The Generation Commission is still a Unilevel Commission but the down line is calculated on the ranks.

Retail: Retail Earnings

Retail Earnings is the only retail plan the Young Living has in place.

For each purchase by a personally sponsored customer, the Distributor earns the 24% difference between wholesale and retail prices.

Fast Start Bonus

The Fast Start Bonus is an additional 25% on the volume of each personally enrolled distributor’s total orders placed during the first three calendar months. This is in addition to the Unilevel Commission (see FAQ below).

The 2nd level enroller can also earn a 10% commission if they qualify.

Frequent Questions

Is there a Limit?
Yes there is a $200 limit per distirbutor per month for the sponsor and a similar $80 limit for the 2nd level sponsor.

Are other commissions impacted?
Yes – when calculating other commissions, the personal volume amount is reduced by 70%.

Silver Bound Bonus

As the Distributor launches their business, the Silver Bound Bonuses incentivize and provide a path to obtain the rank of Silver.

After earning one of the bonuses, Distributors have a set amount of months earn the next rank and bonus.

The bonus only applies until a distributor reaches silver, but should help them to have a solid organization to continue to grow afterward.

Silver Bound Star Bonus

This bonus of $50 is earned after achieving the rank of Star within 2 calendar months of becoming a Distributor.

Thie countdown for when the timer starts is a little confusing – the clock doesn’t start ticking until you enter the next calendar month from signing up. So you have a little more time if you signup on the 5th of the month than if you signup on the 25th — though I would never recommend waiting to play this system. Momentum is everything – timing this bonus would not be worth it.

Legs Required: 2 legs – each with 200 OGV
Volume Required: 500 OGV
Reward: $50 Bonus (one-time)

Silver Bound Senior Star Bonus

Starting Rank: Star
Rank to Achieve: Senior Star
Qualification Period: 3 calendar months after achieving Star Rank
Legs Required: 2 legs – each with 500 OGV
Volume Required: 2,000 OGV
Reward: $250 Bonus (one-time)

Silver Bound Executive Bonus

This bonus follows the pattern of the previous ones but it does add an additional leg requirement. The 2 legs in the previous bonus will hopefully go to 1,000 OGV, and an additional leg with 500 OGV will also be established.

Silver Bound Silver Bonus

This is the last of the Silver Bounds bonuses, and you can see, if achieved, the Distributor will have a robust organization.

Legs Required:

  • 2 legs – each with 4,000 OGV
  • 1 leg with 1,000 OGV
    Volume Required: 10,000 OGV
    Reward: $1,500 Bonus (one-time)

Lead a Young Living Business

Generation Leadership Bonus

This is a pool equal to 6.25% of Young Living’s commissionable sales that the ranks are granted shares to.

Share dividends are distributed monthly and each Distributor’s shares are calculated monthly at the same time ranks are calculated.

The number of shares a Distributor is granted depends on their ranks and some of the ranks of their downline.

Silvers are granted 1 share automatically and 1 additional share for each Silver in within 2 generations.

It is important to note we’re looking at generational downline here which can vary from the directly sponsored downline (we’ll get an article explaining the difference soon).

Golds
2 shares – automatic
2 shares – Gold (or higher) within 3 generations
1 share – Silver within 3 generations

Platinum
3 shares – automatic
3 shares – Platinum (or higher) within 4 generations
2 shares – Gold within 4 generations
1 share – Silver within 4 generations

Diamond
4 shares – automatic
4 shares – Diamond (or higher) within 5 generations
3 shares – Platinum within 5 generations

Diamond Leadership Bonus

This is another pool based bonus — based upon 0.5% of Young Living’s commissionable sales.

Shares are given to those with Diamond Ranks and higher.

Diamond: 1 share
Crown Diamond: 2 shares
Royal Crown Diamond: 3 shares

Shares, the pool amount, and dividends are evaluated monthly like the Generation Leadership Bonus, but there isn’t the opportunity to earn extra shares.

ER Enrollment Bonus:

$15 Bonus

Earned when a member or customer enrolls with 100 PV.

Note: this bonus is not applicable to the Wholesale Membership Enrollment month.

Starter Kit Bonus

$25 bonus when new distributor enrolls and purchases a premium Start Kit.

Premium Starter Kit purchase must be made in the same calendar month of enrollment.

Summary

There are a few bonuses offering lucrative opportunities at Young Living. We recommend focusing on the Unilevel & Generation Commissions which will always lead you to building a robust organization. After that we recommend the 2 leadership pools: Generation Leadership Bonus & Diamond Leadership Bonus.
